So Hello from the sunny beach of Eastbourn. It is super nice here. We live right on the beach. I can see the water from where I study every morning. It is really nice! Plus I actually get to work on my tan,I’M so white right now!. But it is cool. My new companion is Elder Caruso, He is from Italy he got baptized nearly 2 years ago. Was raised catholic and yeah he had to wait till he was 18 to get baptized. His parents aren’t super supportive. But he is a really cool guy. I was cool our first day together we had 7 lessons. That is one of the highest I have had in a single day. It was really superb.
I was so sad to leave Aldershot though. I didn’t realize how much I loved it there. All the members there are really awesome and Im going to really miss them.It is hard staying in a area that long and hen getting moved. I loved it but I kinda hope I don’t stay in a area that long again. It makes goodbyes really hard. But I said how I might be stopping back after my mission, so if you guys do come and pick me up I think we might have a few diners. 🙂 . My last week there we had a diner every night. We ate with our ward mission leader on the Tuesday before I left and Michelle came as well. It was cool to see her again. and Isabella, I forgot how funny she was. I’m pretty certain they’ll get baptized, hopefully while Im still on my mission. It feels just like yesterday I was moving in and saying hi to all the member there. haha I remember I hated my like first week here. But now I love it.
Missions are so unique. I wouldn’t trade my time here for anything though. I think but not certain, that it is making me into a better person. I know that there is things that Im able to do and over come that I wouldn’t have been able to if it wasn’t for my mission. It is funny to think that so far half of my mission has been in Aldershot. Makes me feel old!! haha.
It was fun training Elder Blackner as well. I’m going to really miss him and all his Hunting stories or just other crazy stories he told. It was cool to see how much he grew just in that 3 months I was with him. He went from not being sure if he was going to make it to being a strong missionary with a lot of potential to do great things. He says he going to take me mountain lion hunting when we both get home!!! haha
I’m excited for my new area though. We have been brain storming on what we can do for the area though. Missionaries have been doing the same things in this area for years and not seeing alot of results. So we have been trying to see what we can do different. Kinda like that saying about how can you except different results if your always doing the same thing. We haven’t quite figured out what we can do yet. But I’m just going to keep working and keep doing my best. Oh yeah so do you remember me talking about a girl name Isabel when I was back in catford(London)? Well apparently she is now getting baptized!!!!!! I was so happy when I heard that during transfer. 😀 I feel like most of my mission it has been finding people and then getting moved and after I move they get baptized. All the Time!!! Besides Samantha but she was Amazing! haha. Well I think this might be my longest letter I have written so far. Yeah, New High!! Love you guys and miss you alot.
Love,
Elder (Soon to be brown and handsome) Oviatt 🙂
